"QuNexus is a powerful MPE keyboard controller and three track arpeggiator/step sequencer. Its 25 touch-sensitive keys detect velocity, polyphonic aftertouch, and per-key tilt, giving you unprecedented control and musical expression.

Each of the three arpeggiator/sequencer tracks can be programmed with up to 32 steps, 10 selectable arpeggiator patterns, and can be independently assigned to USB, MIDI, and Eurorack outputs.

Blue and white LEDs illuminate the keys during arpeggiations, step sequences, and playback.

QuNexus can control MIDI hardware using the included MIDI Out cable or our optional MIDI Expander (sold separately). All sounds are made with tubes. The only instruments I used here are a Metasonix S-2000 Tube Synthesizer and a Metasonix D-2000 Drum Machine. No overdubs, no edits, just a bit of reverb from a Keith McMillen K-Mix.

Song A Day #8 (0-coast + Empress Reverb)

"Every sound you hear is made using these instruments by Keith McMillen (QuNexus & K-Mix), Make Noise, and Empress Effects. In addition a Korg SQ-1 is used for a couple of the patterns. It's about 20 tracks of the 0-coast layered, this is just the last one I added. It's a fast 7-beat rhythm that remains constant throughout.

This is part of my project to record a piece every day for the month of January using only what you see here and a laptop. This is my first successful attempt at doing a video, but you can listen to the rest on my soundcloud if you're interested.
